P – Premier Pirate – Literary Smackdown #AtoZChallenge 2016

P - Literary Smackdown
What else could we have for the letter P except the Premier Pirate? Every good adventure tale on the high seas needs a pirate. Ours are both classics of literature who have been terrorising those who stand against them for generations. Help us choose in today’s AtoZChallenge.

Who will you vote for in Literary Smackdown

  • Captain Hook
The archenemy of Peter Pan, the man with the hook himself, Capatin James Hook is our first contender. Pan fed Hook’s hand to the crocodile and thus started their emnity. Hook is handsome, elegant and egotistical and bloodthirsty – everything one should be as a pirate captain. Will you vote for the man who can put Pan in his place?

or

  • Long John Silver
The master of a pirate band, ready to cut a man’s throat at a moment’s notice. Here we have a true pirate. He cares only for himself and for gold, although he has a soft spot of Jim Hawkins. He is an intelligent individualist with a reckless streak who will stop at nothing to gain what he wants. Do you vote for the man with one leg?

What is the AtoZChallenge?

For those who don’t know, the AtoZChallenge is a giant blog hop with thousands of blogs taking part. Every day in April, apart from Sundays, these blogs will post using a letter of the alphabet at a prompt, e.g. A on 1st, B on 2nd etc.
It has been running since 2010 and was thought up by the lovely Arlee Bird who put out a challenge and it has grown and grown since. It is a superb way to meet other bloggers and to have a huge amount of fun.
