First off, let me get the full disclosure out of the way. I received a free copy of the book so I could review it.<\/p>\n

Saying that I am very glad I did.\u00a0I opened the book last night when I went to bed, expecting to read a chapter or two then go to sleep. At 1:35am I finally put my tablet down having read the whole thing from cover to afterword. This is a great book.<\/p>\n

It reminds me of the books I used to love and read as a pre-teen and teenager that have stuck with me through the rest of my life (I still have most of them). The Labyrinth of Time is a keeper.<\/p>\n

The book is detailed and yet fast paced and is complex and yet easy to follow. There is enough beautifully described and flawlessly introduced pre-Columbian, archaeological\u00a0detail to make it real and buckets of fantasy to engage every fan of the genre. The plot kept me reading page after page even when I could barely see any more because my eyes wanted me to sleep.<\/p>\n

The narrator character, Jade, is compelling and interesting as well as a very get up and go young lady. I really liked her. She starts off a disgruntled teen and evolves quickly into so much more. Then there are Grams and Felix and a host of supporting characters that are just as entertaining and well written. I think my favourite is\u00a0One Reed, from the boy in the prologue to the man later on, he just jumped off the page at me.<\/p>\n

I would heartily recommend this book. Definitely a 5 star read.<\/p>\n
